CERCIS: HISTORY
Cercis is the second son of the necromancer and dark sorcerer, Cyneric. By the time Cercis was born, his father had already become undead, and as a result of this self-inflicted attempt at immortality, Cyneric had lost whatever virtue he had possessed while living. Although Cyneric had already been a poor father to Kendrick, in Cyneric's eyes, Cercis was even more incompetent and unremarkable than his first born son. As a result, Cyneric regarded Cercis with a different but more potent form of disdain that boded poorly for Cercis. Growing up, Cercis sought reprieve and salvation from daily life amidst his family, and worked towards achieving this freedom. Eventually he grasped it, but only for a short time before being forced back to the home he and his siblings resided in. After he and his siblings killed their father, Cercis chose to part ways with his siblings again and travel his own path.
After travelling away from their old home, Cercis had travelled along with them for a time before leaving without warning during the small hours of the morning. He travelled far away from the point that he left them at, and came to a stop in a large mountain forest. Although living within self-made wilderness shelters proved rough, his repertoire of spells eased the discomfort, and his freedom still left him more content than he had ever felt before in his lifetime.
