FAMILY
PARENTS | JODI & MARK RADONWhen Daniel was young, his strange behaviour (extremely detached personality and talk of ghosts) worried them for several years. As working parents trying to make a name for themselves, they jumped through countless hoops in attempts to give Daniel as much support as they possibly could, including therapy.
When Daniel revealed and proved his supernatural abilities to them, they were, in a way, relieved. Because of the trust and mutual respect in their parent-child relationship, they were able to adapt and move past it with relative ease. Their trust in Daniel and his abilities as a young adult eventually enabled them to comfortably chase their career dreams while leaving him at home. Although often apart, they continue to support each other enthusiastically, and Daniel never takes them for granted. His mother is, however, overwhelmed with relief when Daniel settles down with Sabrina. |
YOUNGEST SISTER | AMBER RADONIn the timelines where Amber exists, she and Daniel have a sibling relationship that revolves around humour and equal cooperation with each other. Despite their blaringly obvious differences in energy levels, the two almost never clash. Daniel tolerates her well, and ropes her back in when she becomes a loose canon. Like all others close to him, he supports her as much as possible-- but in Amber's case, he finds she rarely needs sheltering.
The two joke with each other often, and have unspoken competitions about how far they can take banter before one cracks a smile or a laugh. |
WIFE | SABRINA S. JULESThe singular greatest influence on his fate, Sabrina is first and foremost, his soulmate. Daniel will state that he "loves Sabrina more than anything else in the world", and in past he has put himself through numerous tribulations for the sake of her wellbeing and happiness, often at the price of his own. Their personal history together is lengthy and wrought with misfortune, but in time, the two managed to find peace together.
They are highly affectionate and play into each other's quirks, and maintain a very smoothly functioning relationship in times of peace. However, because of the conflict and contortion they faced in the past, they harbour many (often mutual) insecurities and are very co-dependent on one another in order to retain their happiness. It is Daniel's personal wish as well as hers that they will be able to continue meeting in each future reincarnation; bound together as lovers eternally, or for as long as the world will allow. |
CHILDREN
SON, ELDEST | TRACEY RADONDaniel's relationship with Tracey is a slightly imbalanced one. During his childhood, Tracey took a disliking to his father, because of a combination of his involvement with the corrupted Madeline and the lack of time Daniel spent with Tracey because of his job. Because of the hours he had to work, this issue didn't come to Daniel's attention for a few years or so.
By the time Daniel found out about Madeline's corruption, the damage that it had caused for his relationship with Tracey had already been done. Daniel, only wishing to be a caring father, began making more efforts to change his work schedule and reach out to his son. Tracey was resistant, but now, during his teen years, their relationship is slowly rekindling. |
DAUGHTER, MIDDLE | LYREE RADONWhen Lyree was born, Daniel was finally reaching a point in his career where he was able to take time off for his family. Sabrina and Lyree naturally benefitted most from this, since Tracey was already at an age of budding independence. He was able to be more active in Lyree's childhood, often taking her to ballet lessons and supporting her at events and practice.
As Lyree developed into a young woman, full of grace and intellect, Daniel made his respect and trust for her prominent in their interactions. Between his children, Daniel follies around with Lyree the least, since despite his attempts, she often shuts him down for his "bad taste" in humour. Daniel isn't very protective of her, but mostly because he truly feels confident in her capacity and decisions. |
SON BY ASSOCIATION | ROGER ENGELDaniel's relationship with Roger is as equally complicated as his relation with Tracey, but for very different reasons.
Given Roger's contexts and personal background, Daniel regards Roger as being rightfully part of their family. Knowing the damage that Roger's blood father is capable of, Daniel was quick to offer Roger kindness and hospitality. Daniel is highly empathetic for him because of his own first hand experiences and suffering at the hands of Shaun, Roger's father. Despite the circumstances of Roger's birth, Daniel holds no ill feelings towards him, and personally offered Roger shelter within their home. He does his best to provide the support that Roger's childhood lacked, and to help repair the damage that was sewn. This has, however, created tension with Tracey, who isn't nearly as welcoming to Roger and feels a degree of envy towards him. This complicates Daniel's relationship between the two sons, but he does his best to mediate and communicate his feelings simply and honestly to both of them. |
