VIN MURDOC : HISTORY
As a younger child Vin found difficulty making friends, and had bad luck with socialization. In most cases, Vin would try to please other kids to gain acceptance, but would later be met with rejection. With support from both parents, this didn't have any long-term effects on Vin's personality and growth. Instead, Vin took on a new sense of independence, immersing themselves in literature and taking an interest in alternative social ideologies.
As they grew, Vin later turned to the internet to find more texts and discussion forums on similar topics; leading to a phase where they became fixated on personal/gender identity. In turn, informed Vin's decision to start identifying as genderqueer. After this point, around age 11, they began introducing themselves as Vin instead of their original birth name. Murdoc and Esmeralda supported Vin's decision, and took it on as a learning process. Instructing Vin's siblings to start referring to them with their new pronouns and nickname. Overall, the family is still adjusting, with some resistance from Vin's brother Cassius, due to a strained relationship between them.
In recent years, Vin has been pressing for neutral pronouns and requesting that teachers introduce them and call them "Vin" in order to set the tone for peers and students.
